Summary:
The presentation will provide an overview of Chapter 7 bankruptcy law for attorneys representing debtors, including the automatic stay, property of the estate, discharge, and creditor remedies. It will also briefly review some of the forms used in Chapter 7 cases and provide helpful tips in representing debtors.

Curtis Ching, Assistant U.S. Trustee at the Department of Justice (ret.)
Curtis Ching recently retired after 37 years as an attorney and Assistant U.S. Trustee at the Department of Justice. The U.S. Trustee serves as a watchdog over the bankruptcy system, including appointing and overseeing private trustees and litigating violations of bankruptcy law in both consumer and business cases.
Bradly Tamm, Consulting-Attorney to the Standing (Chapter 13) Bankruptcy Trustee; formerly Chief Disciplinary Counsel to the Hawaii Supreme Court (ret.)
Bradley Tamm has been a bankruptcy attorney for nearly 30 years; representing Chapter 7 and 13 consumer debtors, and Chapter 7, 11 and 13 trustees. He recently retired after 7 years as ODC’s Chief Disciplinary Counsel, after which he returned to part-time bankruptcy work as consulting counsel to the Standing (Chapter 13) Trustee. He also served as a volunteer member of the Hawaii Supreme Court’s Disciplinary Board, and as its outside general counsel; and was appointed to the Supreme Court’s Professionalism Commission.
