HSBA bar card
The HSBA Bar Card is your official photo ID for State court identification and electronic device use, plus borrowing at the Supreme Court Law Library. It also unlocks discounts from trusted partners.
The Bar Card is a photo ID which confirms HSBA membership. Attorneys with photos on their cards will be allowed to use it for State court and corrections facilities identification. State courts allow the use of electronic devices by HSBA members seated in the gallery, if the photo card is visibly displayed (RSCH 5.3.(b)(2)).
In addition, the Bar Card may be used at the Supreme Court Law Library to borrow materials, and to confirm eligibility to receive discounts from numerous benefit providers (restaurants, clothing stores, exercise facilities, entertainment including discount movie tickets, office products, travel and much more!).
*The Bar Card can only be issued to members in good standing. More information about membership status can be found here.

By Mail
Download the Request Form, fill it out and mail it back to us with your check. If you’d like your photo included, email your headshot to Wendy Manago at wmanago@hsba.org. We’ll process it and mail it back to you.

Note: Bar Card photos should be clear front facing digital images
Your Bar Card gives you access to business that provide member benefits/discounts to Bar Card holders. Check out or Member Benefits page for more details.
Bar Directory photos should be submitted no later than June 30 of each year to be included in following Bar Directory publication.
Photos should be a clear front facing shot with a minimum quality of 300 dpi. Professional photos are great, but higher quality smart phone or digital images will also work.
Please note that Bar Directory photos are not automatically used to generate bar cards and visa versa. The bar directory photo submissions and the bar card requests are two different processes.

The HSBA Bar Card is available to current law students at any ABA accredited school law school. The card will expire on your anticipated law school graduation date.
