Lawyer Referral & Information Service (LRIS)
Each Wednesday evening, HSBA volunteer attorneys provide free legal information to Hawaii residents through Legal Line. Your time and expertise can make a difference in someone’s life.

The Lawyer Referral & Information Service (LRIS) is a public service provided by the Hawaii State Bar Association, a 501(c)(6) non-profit organization. Our panel member attorneys are able to assist clients with all types of legal problems: bankruptcy, child custody & support, divorce, foreclosures, employment & labor, criminal, traffic, wills, social security, discrimination, and patent to name a few.
The referrals are free and clients are encouraged to contact the attorneys referred to find out whether they are able to assist with the legal issue, and the terms and costs for doing so.
For more information on LRIS, contact the office at (808) 537-9140 or by email at LRIS@hsba.org.

"I wanted to say thank you for referring us to your panel member. The attorney was absolutely wonderful to work with. Fair, honest, and did a wonderful job on our case."
"The attorney referred was fantastic. Has such class and insisted that we didn't need a lawyer and that by filing a complaint at the District Court we could accomplish what we needed. Thanks for your referral, I really appreciate it."
"Again, I thank you for recommending the LRIS Panel member who very effectively represented me on this seemingly impossible case where the attorney’s perseverance, deep legal knowledge and personal negotiating skills were nothing short of exceptional. I would not hesitate engage or otherwise highly recommend the attorney for representation in areas of interest.”

Every lawyer who is licensed to practice law in Hawaii will be listed in our directory.
NOTICE: Every lawyer who is licensed to practice law in Hawaii will be listed in our directory. Remember, just because someone uses “Esq.” in his or her letterhead doesn’t necessarily mean that person is licensed to practice. Each licensed attorney will appear on the Hawaii State Bar Association website and can be found by searching their first and last name. The profile will include basic contact information and indicate whether the attorney can actively practice law in Hawaii.
