SECTION purpose
Purposes of the Tax Section
- To develop and encourage the practice of the highest standards of conduct for attorneys in the State of Hawai'i and particularly among attorneys concentrating in the area of taxation and related fields of law;
- To aid and assist the Section's members and all other members of the Hawaii Bar Association in the performance of their legal duties;
- To establish and maintain liaison between this section and all relevant taxing authorities, law-making bodies and courts;
- To provide a forum for the exchange of experiences and ideas through discussion, study, and publication;
- To establish this Section to exist with professional status, financial stability and making ongoing professional contributions in the State of Hawaii and nationally;
- To take action necessary and proper to accomplish the purposes of the Section as expressed in these Bylaws and in the Articles and Bylaws of the Hawai'i State Bar Association.
