SECTION purpose
Purposes of the Appellate Section
- To develop and encourage the practice of the highest standards of conduct for attorneys in the State of Hawaii and particularly among attorneys practicing appellate law, including working with justices and appellate judges to improve the Hawaii appellate process;
- To aid and assist the Section's members in their practice as it relates to appellate law;
- To provide a forum for the exchange of experiences and ideas through discussion, study, and publication, including offering continuing legal education and disseminating materials on matters of interest to the appellate bar and the judiciary;
- To take such action necessary and proper to accomplish the purpose of the Section as expressed in these Bylaws and in the Articles and Bylaws of the Hawaii State Bar Association.
