Alternative Dispute Resolution
SECTION purpose
Purposes of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section
- To develop and encourage the practice of the highest standards of conduct for attorneys in the State of Hawai'i and particularly among attorneys involved in litigation or for whom the development of conflict resolution skills would benefit their service to their clients and the community as a whole;
- To aid and assist the Section's members in the performance of their duties by information, training and demonstration of methods of resolving conflict other than through the traditional judicial system;
- To provide a forum for the exchange of experiences and ideas about alternative dispute resolution through discussion, study, and publication;
- To take such action necessary and proper to accomplish the purposes of the Section as expressed in these Bylaws and in the Articles and Bylaws of the Hawai'i State Bar Association.
