Summary:
This CLE acknowledges that the field has some difficult ethical quagmires that are not always cleanly addressed by the HRPC. The CLE will provide a concise, practical overview of the common ethical issues in estate planning practice. It will address topics such as conflicts of interest, dual representation, and the recent updates on working with clients with diminished capacity. The course incorporates relevant cases, ABA guidance, and the Hawaii Rules of Professional Conduct.
