The leaders of the Office of Disciplinary Counsel and Attorney’s and Judge’s Assistance Program will present a range of options on how to bow out of the practice of law legally, ethically and gracefully.

Bradley Tamm, Chief Disciplinary Counsel
Bradley R. Tamm was recently appointed as Chief Disciplinary Counsel. Prior to this appointment, he served as Board Counsel to the Disciplinary Board from 2012 to 2018; and a member of the Disciplinary Board 2006 to 2012. Mr. Tamm's private practice (from 1992 to 2018) was primarily limited to federal bankruptcy law (consumer debtor and trustee representation).
A 1991 graduate of Thomas Jefferson School of Law, he is also admitted in California; and a member of the bars of the U.S. Supreme Court; 9th Circuit Court of Appeals; and U.S. District Courts for Hawaii, Northern, Eastern and Southern Districts of California, as well as the U.S. Court of International Trade and U.S. Tax Court.
Liam Deeley, Executive Director, Hawai'i Attorneys and Judges Assistance Program
Liam Deeley is the Director for the Hawai’i Attorneys and Judges Assistance Program (AAP). He is also a member of the HSBA Transitioning Lawyers Program, the Committee on Professionalism, the Judicial Nomination Committee, and the ABA Commission on Lawyers Assistance Programs Communications Committee. Liam was raised in Kailua on the island of O’ahu and is a graduate of University of Hawai’i at West O’ahu. He obtained his law degree from Northern Illinois University College of Law and is a Certified Assessment and Referral Specialist. In Illinois, Liam worked for Treatment Alternatives for Safer Communities (TASC), as a case manager.
