Reminder: RSCH Rule 22(b) requires one CLE credit in ethics or professionalism education to be completed every three-years.The current block period to complete the ethics requirement is 2015-2017.

Cost includes the LIVE webcast ONLY which will run from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm HST. 

Same day registrants are welcome, but please register at least one hour before the webcast.

Cancellation/Refunds: 
Cancellation requests must be received by Tuesday, September 5, 2017 for a full refund.  There will be no refunds if you miss the live webcast. Please check your system requirements early to avoid missing the program. Availability of HSBA Staff assistance will be limited on the day of the program.    


Summary:

Learn how to spot these issues, to avoid trouble and properly fulfill your professional obligations.


Speaker:

Bruce Kim, Chief Disciplinary Counsel

Mr. Kim obtained his J.D. from Seattle University School of Law in 1978. He returned home following graduation and spent over 30 years in a civil litigation practice before his appointment in July 2011 as the Executive Director of the Office of Consumer Protection in the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs.  Mr. Kim served as OCP’s Executive Director until February 2015. 

After leaving the Office of Consumer Protection, Mr. Kim joined the Office of Disciplinary Counsel as Assistant Disciplinary Counsel in May 2015.  In March 2017, Mr. Kim was appointed Chief Disciplinary Counsel by the Disciplinary Board of the Hawaii Supreme Court .
