Summary:

This CLE aims to provide a basic overview of the 6 main loan documents (Note, Mortgage, Loan Agreement, Assignment of Leases and Rents, Guaranty and Environmental Indemnity).  We will address 3-5 provisions in each document which typically require borrower revisions.  We will review sample standard language customarily included in form loan documents and proposed modifications to these provisions to make them more borrower favorable.  We will conclude the CLE with an open forum for questions.

I started my career at Willkie Farr & Gallagher in New York as a summer associate in 1995 and in 1997 joined their real estate group as an associate.  During my time at Willkie I represented lenders, borrowers, buyers and sellers in complex real estate transactions (both single asset and portfolio transactions) around the country.  I also did extensive commercial leasing work on behalf of both landlords and tenants.  I left Willkie in 2003 to join my husband in private practice, where I continue practicing commercial real estate to date.  My practice focuses on single asset acquisitions, dispositions, financings (including construction financing) and leasing.
