Summary:
In addition to the usual dialog and of exchange of ideas, evaluation of bills introduced, and debate & decision-making, the COVID response made the 2021 legislative session more challenging. Balancing a two-year budget faced with uncertain revenues and hoping for federal assistance to provide for the basic necessities of those most severely impacted by COVID, and for statewide public health and safety was a task requiring leadership, innovation and perseverance.

Get an update on legislation that was passed during the regular session and the veto override session, and a glimpse of what is anticipated for the 2022 legislative session which convenes in January.
