RPFSS: HARPTA and Conveyance Tax Forms (RECORDED)

Items on every checklist for real estate transactions include relevant tax filings. The most common among those are filings for conveyance tax and HARPTA. Ted Shiraishi from the Department of Taxation will discuss the relevant forms and filing processes for both the conveyance tax and HARPTA.
Given the timing of this presentation Ted may also be able to provide some insight into various proposals currently before the legislature regarding the conveyance tax and HARPTA.
Ted Shiraishi, Hawaii Department of Tax
Ted Shiraishi has been with the State of Hawaii Department of Taxation since 2012 and currently serves as the Administrative Rules Officer. He previously served as Low Income Taxpayer Clinic Staff Attorney at the Legal Aid Society of Hawaii. Ted earned his J.D. and LL.M. in Taxation at the Golden Gate University School of Law and is a licensed attorney in Hawaii and California.
