Summary:
Information is a critical business asset, especially in today’s digital economy. A business can suffer serious harm by having its sensitive information fall into the hands of a competitor or leaked into the public domain. In this one-hour CLE, learn about legal protections and limitations on protecting business interests in confidentiality information. The seminar will focus on the following topics:
The legal framework for protecting business interests in proprietary information and trade secrets;
Mechanisms available for preventing disclosure of confidential or sensitive information, such as non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and non-competition agreements; and
Legal limitations on enforcement of NDAs, non-competes, and settlement agreements restricting disclosure of information.
