Summary:

What is legislative intent? Where do I find it quickly? How can it help me win my next argument? This CLE will cover the basics of legislative history for the Hawaii Revised Statutes and how to navigate the Hawaii State Legislature’s website to research legislative intent. 

Speaker:
Representative Linda Ichiyama, 32nd House District (Moanalua, Salt Lake and Aliamanu)
Representative Linda Ichiyama represents the 32nd House District (Moanalua, Salt Lake and Aliamanu) and currently serves as the Chair on the Pandemic and Disaster Preparedness Committee. In addition, she serves on the Committee on Government Reform and the Committee on Judiciary and Hawaiian Affairs. She is also one of four co-conveners of the bipartisan Women’s Legislative Caucus. Representative Ichiyama is a graduate of Georgetown University and the William S. Richardson School of Law at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She practiced real estate, construction and commercial litigation as a former associate attorney at Porter McGuire Kiakona, LLP.  .
