Summary:
In this CLE, presenters will provide an overview of the field of Implicit Bias- what it is and how it differs from other types of biases, and then examine the different ways Implicit Bias affects the legal system. The presentation will focus specifically on Hawaii’s legal system (criminal, civil, legislative, and administrative) and presenters will challenge participants to consider what steps can be taken—individually and collectively—to overcome the ways our implicit biases limit liberty and justice for all.
