Leighton M. Hara is an associate with the law firm of Watanabe Ing & Komeiji LLP and a 2002 graduate of the William S. Richardson School of Law.  He is currently serving as a HSBA/YLD Director for Oahu.  Mr. Hara writes, "For the past three years, I have served on the Board of Directors for the HSBA/YLD and have participated in many community service projects.  I have served as the co-chair for the Ready for the World, Legal Lines Clinic, College & Career Fair, and Professionals for Drug Free Kids programs.  I have also volunteered for numerous other programs sponsored by the HSBA/YLD.  However, the experience that I enjoyed the most was as a volunteer for the Professionals for Drug Free Kids program where we were able to counsel elementary school children about the evils of using illicit drugs.  I look further to continued service with the HSBA/YLD so that I may continue to serve the legal community and the community at large."
