    ACCESS TO JUSTICE ROOM TRAINING call for volunteers! Training sessions will be made available by appointment for the convenience of attorneys. The Access to Justice Room on the third floor of the Honolulu District Court needs volunteer attorneys to provide limited short-term legal advice to walk-in clients. Subject areas: residential landlord-tenant; consumer debt collection; and district court restraining orders. One hour of Mandatory Continuing Professional Education (MCPE) and two hours of Voluntary Continuing Legal Education (VCLE) credits will be available to those who attend the training. Contact Natalie Millon at nmillon@hsba.org to schedule a training session at your convenience.

    LEGAL LINE will be held on the following dates for the month of January: January 9, 16, 23, and 30. If you are interested in volunteering your time to this cause, please email yld@hsba.org.


    This year's program will run from June through September. Classes will meet on Mondays and Thursdays from 4:30 p.m.-6:00 p.m., with a few Friday noon-1 p.m. sessions.
