Training sessions will be made available by appointment for the convenience of attorneys. The Access to Justice Room on the third floor of the Honolulu District Court needs volunteer attorneys to provide limited short-term legal advice to walk-in clients. One hour of Mandatory Continuing Professional Education (MCPE) and two hours of Voluntary Continuing Legal Education (VCLE) credits will be available to those who attend the training. Maui Self-Help Center Volunteers - Attorneys who have attended the SHC training can volunteer at the Maui Self-Help Center. The SHC is open every Thursday, excluding holidays, from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon. The first shift is 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and the second shift is 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon. Register today for a 6.5 MCPE Continuing Legal Education Course on time management for lawyers, presented by Frank Sanitate of Frank Sanitate Associates. The course will be held on February 15 at the YWCA Oahu. The course will cover topics such as creating work plans, eliminating time-waste in meetings, tackling procrastination, fostering office time management, and more.
