    Pro Bono Legal Training Seminars - The Legal Aid Society of Hawaii is offering attorneys monthly brown bag trainings free of charge to those who take a pro bono case with Legal Aid. Neighbor Island attorneys may call in. On April 26, the seminar will cover simple wills. For more information email chpuna@lashaw.org.

    Maui Self-Help Center Volunteers - Attorneys who have attended the SHC training can volunteer at the Maui Self-Help Center. The SHC is open every Thursday, excluding holidays, from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon. The first shift is 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and the second shift is 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon. SHC-trained volunteer attorneys can sign up for shifts at www.volunteerspot.com.

  • 2013 HSBA Spring Conference at Honolulu Country Club

    The 2013 Spring Conference will be held on Friday, May 10, 2013 with keynote speaker Russell Waters who will cover "The Disciplinary Process, Best Practices, and Managing Your Risk".

    Other topics include: Tax Management for Solo and Small Firms; Detecting and Preventing Employee Embezzlement; Disaster Strikes! - Business Continuity in the Event of a Disaster; Managing Client Expectations in a World of Connectivity; and many more! Attendees may earn up to 4.25 MCPE credit.
