Supreme Court Rule 6.1 encourages all members of the Bar to aspire to perform at least 50 hours of pro bono services. In an effort to assist members, the HSBA will list: (1) events where volunteers are needed to provide legal services, and (2) training activities which will lead to the provision of legal services.

If your group or organization would like to list an event or activity which will provide, or which will lead to the provision of, pro bono legal services, please contact us at info@hsba.org.

A Message from President Carol K. Muranaka:

A HUGE thank you to Lani Moo who was the first to purchase a “VIP Vampire” table ($5,000 each) for our “spooky” Halloween fundraiser on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Carlsmith Ball, Central Pacific Bank, and Manatt Phelps Phillips followed with their respective purchases of additional “VIP Vampire” tables, and Ayabe Chong Nishimoto Sia & Nakamura bought two “Great Pumpkin” tables ($1,500 each). The generosity and support of these organizations are truly outstanding. I am truly overwhelmed and appreciative.

The fundraising event benefits the Hawaii Justice Foundation and the
Friends of the Judiciary History Center. The Hawaii Justice Foundation is a tax-exempt entity whose sole purpose is to achieve justice for Hawaii’s people.
